Confined Space
Two options are available for confined spaces.

Part 1 Awareness - where local legislation and equipment is lectured and demonstrated.
Part 2 Technician - here the technician is training to do an entry and capability to perform a rescue. All with preset equipment and mandatory side assessment and rescue plan.

To get the best training possible it is important to do an inventory of the required skills through a site assessment. Once that has been done, we can engage you in the best training possible.

The course covers the use of breathing apparatus, gas detectors and communication systems.

Content Part 1

Confined Space Regulations
What is a Confined Space
Dangerous atmospheres
Gas detection
Confined space purging and ventilation
Confined space permit system
Use and inspection of harnesses, winches and tripods

Content Part 2

Use of positive pressure escape breathing apparatus
Rescue planning & procedures
Access and retrieval of victim

Who will benefit?
All persons who are required to enter confined spaces as part of their work, for example drains, sumps, shafts, trenches or silos

Structure
Group training that is highly practical in nature with hands-on access and rescue are part of the confined space courses. Be ready to work!

Details
Most courses are delivered over a one and three-day period but can be adjusted to meet the challenge.
Courses are given at the Oakville Training Campus, but can also be delivered at client's premises.
